CRY New Jersey Walk
The CRY NJ Walk on September 17th was a huge success, bringing together approximately 75 enthusiastic participants eager to support a noble cause. This event was a vibrant celebration with a diverse range of entertainments and delicious culinary delights. The student volunteers took the lead, setting the pace for the entire event as they kicked off the walk, guiding and inspiring every participant along the way. This remarkable cause received generous sponsorship from TV Asia, one of our event broadcasters, as well as support from Maryland Mavericks and Deloitte, further solidifying the success of the event. The NJ CRY Walk’s triumph was a testament to the collective effort of the organizers, volunteers, and participants, who came together to create a memorable day of both fun and philanthropy.
CRY Seattle Walk
The CRY Seattle Walk event was a fun-filled event organized by our Seattle Youth team. The event had children of all ages coming together with their families on a bright and sunny Sunday morning to support a meaningful cause. There was a large turnout of participants who enjoyed playing fun games and racing to the finish line. A huge thanks to our young student volunteers Arushi, Sanjana, Arya, Navneeth, Kaeya, Ananya, Anahata, Ritu and Aditya, Anya, Aadhya, Anay, Esha, Minal & Sarvani for organizing this event & helping raise funds for underprivileged children.
CRY SFO Walk 2023
Our CRY San Francisco took place on Sunday, October 15 at scenic Lands End trail in San Francisco! A hearty group of 25 walkers conquered the challenging trail down to the Pacific Ocean. Walkers were warmed up with a Bollywood flash mob dance by instructor Satish! A big thank you to photographer Praful who captured the memorable moments. A big thanks to the relentless efforts from Monika, Satwick, Manu, Amit J, Amit D., Maheen, Srilaxmi and Shiven. The seeds for many more future Action Center events by this energetic volunteer group have definitely been sowed!
CRY Houston Walk 2023
Congratulations to our Houston team on organizing a successful Walk event with over 140 participants. The event had people from all ages enjoying the beautiful weather, Bollywood workout & benefitting from the health screenings sponsored by Texas Inpatient Consultants. Many also enjoyed henna and face painting along with the delicious food. We thank Dr. Dominic Sreshta and Dr. Emmanuel Opara from Texas Inpatient Consultants for their sponsorship for the 3rd year in a row. We also thank all our other sponsors – Active Athlete, Vibe Restaurants, Eggoholic, Executive Baskets and others for their support.
CRY Boston Walk 2023
Our dedicated volunteers from Boston organized a CRY Walk on October 29 at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir Trail. The setting at Chestnut Hill proved to be a stunning backdrop for the CRY Walk. Despite the weather challenges, around 25 participants did a 5K walk around the lake & also enjoyed the snacks donated by our longtime volunteer Sriram. It evolved into a heartwarming family event, with our young volunteers enthusiastically manning the registration table, distributing T-shirts to walkers, and handling any last-minute registrations.
CRY Kentucky Walk 2023
The CRY Kentucky Walk 2023 was a virtual Walk led by our volunteer Srinivas Dharanipragada who helped garner support in the form of a $10,000 sponsorship from Deloitte, giving our Walk revenues a healthy boost. We thank Deloitte for their continued support
CRY Austin Walk 2023
The CRY Austin chapter did a virtual CRY Walk event by setting up their online Walk page. Our longtime volunteer Vijaya set up her online fundraising page and reached out to her family & friends to raise funds for children.
