The CRY Bay Area Gala was held on Sunday, April 28 at Villa Ragusa with Celebrity guest Arjun Rampal. The event featured a chat session with CRY Project Partner Dr Rolee Singh who shared her project SSRF’s impact moderated by Amit Duvedi and CRY India CEO, Puja Marwaha shared CRY America’s 20 year achievements. Attendees enjoyed the photo session with Arjun Rampal. Our beloved donor Late Ketan Duvedi’s long standing support to CRY’s children was also honored at the event.

The CRY gala was attended by over 100 guests from the SFO-Bay Area who generously donated $350,000 towards the cause, creating a new milestone yet again! We especially thank our Gala Committee – Arti, Renu & Chaitanya, Kiran & Murthy , Amit Duvedi, Vaishali & Kartik, Vinay & Meghana & Percy Presswalla for their valuable guidance & support. We thank all our donors, event sponsors, volunteers, media & staff for making this event a success.

CRY Uphaar was held on Saturday, April 27 at W hotel in Bellevue which was attended by 180 guests who generously donated over $400,000, smashing fundraising targets. The event included sharings in memory of Late Ketan Duvedi by his close friends based in Seattle and a talk by CRY Project Partner Rolee Singh regarding the achievements of her Project SSRF moderated by Sachin Muchaden.

The CRY Houston Gala held on April 21 at the Marriott Sugar Land was attended by 370 guests, including Bollywood Celebrity Arjun Rampal and CRY Project Partner Dr Rolee Singh. The honorees for the evening were longstanding CRY supporters Juuhi and Prakash Ahuja. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the event raised over $400,000.

The evening included a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, live auction, dinner, donor appreciation, pledge session, Bollywood music and dancing and a performance by Esther Anaya with Karmagraphy. The CRY New York Gala was held on Friday, April 19 at The Taj Pierre Hotel and was attended by 120 guests that donated generously, raising $200,000 for underprivileged children. Our special guests included Bollywood Actor Arjun Rampal and CRY America project partner Dr. Rolee Singh from Varanasi, India. Our host for the evening was American actor and singer Utkarsh Ambudkar. The guests were treated to improv rap and beatboxing performances by Utkarsh and “Shockwave” Chris Hamilton!

The CRY San Diego Gala was held on Friday, April 26 at The Heights Golf Club in San Diego. The event was attended by 120 guests and raised $225,000 for underprivileged children. Our special guests included Bollywood Actor Arjun Rampal and CRY America project partner Dr. Rolee Singh from Varanasi, India. Our emcees for the evening were Deven Parlikar and Dr. Namrata Kapoor and the guests were treated to energetic dance performances by UCSD Raas Ruckus!
